DIGITAL SOLUTIONS ANALYST
ZEP-RE (PTA Reinsurance Company) is a specialized institution of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) established to service and develop the insurance and reinsurance industry within the Region. In partnership with the World Bank, ZEP-RE was assigned as the implementing agency for the De-Risking, Inclusion and Value Enhancement of pastoral economies in the Horn of Africa Project (DRIVE), a regional International Development Association (IDA) project implemented in Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia. We are seeking high caliber and results-oriented professionals to manage in the project implementation.

Project Duration: 4 years
THE ROLE
The company seeks the services of Digital Solutions Analysts. The goal of the assignment will be development of IT tools to be deployed in product distribution and collecting of data, promotion and associated training including project collateral and report presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Consultant
The Digital Solutions Analyst will report to the Digital Solutions Manager, their specific tasks include:
- Contribute to activities centered on digital technologies for the development of financial delivery systems and linkage with pastoral livestock production, including exploring opportunities for connection with markets.
- Serve as a technical solution analyst on Drive Project
- Work with multiple IT, Business clients, and vendor contractors in a multi-vendor and multi-geographical environment to support and maintain Drive Project operations applications
- Maintain multiple interfaces, data exports, and imports, and ensure the data exchange between systems is operational
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics
- Use data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, R, Python, Excel) to create customized dashboards and reports.
- Work across the Microsoft Power Platform as a service suite to build custom business apps that meet the needs of the unit, including Common Data Service (CDS), Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.
- Manage application configuration and upgrades, issue analysis and resolution and implement the necessary changes to keep the application supporting the business functions as required
- Understand business applications functionality and resolve issues and improve application functionality and performance
- Maintain records and documentation for all enhancements and provide support for internal and external auditors.
- Participate in project deliverables design, implementation support and evaluation.
- Contribute to the overall delivery of project outcomes
THE PERSON
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- a) Degree in Information Technology (IT) or relevant field of study
- b) Demonstrated experience in undertaking digital solutions with practical application of the solutions to agriculture sector,
- c) IT professional qualifications
- d) A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the IT field
- e) Some experience preferably in an insurance/ reinsurance company is an asset.
- f) High integrity, passionate and loves challenges and innovative
- g) Detail oriented with strong technical skills
- h) Good communication and interpersonal skills in a team-oriented environment
- i) Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- j) Should be a member of relevant professional bodies with good standing.
